Life Drawing For Suicide Prevention Day

We’re doing it again! Life Drawing for Suicide Prevent Day. This event will be live streamed on my Facebook and YouTube Sept 10th from 1-4pm EST. We had 15 spots available for local participants but they filled up quickly. Thank you to Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland moCa for helping make this possible. Please join me while we pay tribute to those we’ve lost.
On World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10th, 2021, Derek Hess and moCa Cleveland offer a creative outlet to explore healing.

About this event

About the Program:

The guided drawing session intends to support those interested in improving how they manage behaviors, process feelings, reduce stress and anxiety, and increase self-esteem. Through creative exploration, Hess has found that emotions aren't always expressed well with words. He offers participants a different means of expression.

No drawing experience necessary.

This program is for participants high school aged and older. Materials including a drawing pad and charcoal pencils can be provided to on-site particpants . Contact Nicole Ledinek at nledinek@mocacleveland.org for more information.

The session will run from 1-4PM [EST] and offer periodic breaks.

This is a hybrid program which will take place:

On-site at moCa (limited to 10 participants).

Unlimited participants can work alongside Hess through the on-line livestream. Visit moCaCleveland.org for updates on livestream access.
