There’s a few things going on in this piece. In the background I have several power lines with crucified people on them. I’ve always thought poles like those look like crucifixes. Then I have the earth bound figure, perhaps dying. He’s tied to an angel by the wrists keeping the angel unable to rise with the figure to a higher realm. The karma won’t let the male figure escape from his earthly karma.
