If I Had a Hammer
This piece is a series of horizontal lines. The top is a line of clouds, below that is a line of barb wire, below the barbed wire, is a fence, and on the bottom is a line of garbage cans. Mixed in with the garbage cans is the figure nailing his hand to the ground. He feels discarded, put out with the trash. He’s bought into the feeling and makes it worse by self-inflicted pain, the feeling he’s most comfortable with. Everything else is foreign to him.
Printed on 270 GSM acid-free fine art matte paper.
