Air Born is a pen and ink illustration by artist Derek Hess pulled from his 2023 sketchbook. Created as concept sketch to work through the idea of someone playing air guitar after they just earned their angel wings, but their vision is significantly blocked by the metal blinder they've placed over themselves that they call a protective helmet.
