Winged Skull - KISS 8-Track Art is an original mixed media artwork created by Derek Hess. It features a pen and acrylic painting on the surface of a vintage 8-track tape that's nestled between detailed pen and acrylic wash illustrations of one set of feathered wings with 2 skulls resting on top of each of the wing's "shoulders.  This piece is one of the last works remaining from a 2014 series painted on vintage rock cassettes that toured to a few gallery exhibitions. The inscription written in Derek's handwriting say, "A MODERN DAY MAN OF STEEL" with Derek's signature next to it. 

Featuring a familiar Hess theme of a winged skull and one of Derek's favorite bands, KISS, this artifact is a quintessential Derek Hess original, especially for those who remember those exhibits over a decade ago. 

This is professionally framed art that previously showed at a gallery exhibition. The frame has minor scratches and dings indicative of having toured to a few locations.
