Solar Flares of Dying Sun is a limited edition print by Derek Hess, which reflects on his own journey of recovery. The original artwork is part of a small collection of works featured in his fall 2024 exhibition, Not Going To Stop Until I've Gone Too Far, which addresses the slow decay of memory and going along with what's been said, even though you have no recollection of what someone's talking about. The handwriting over the human figure are lyrics from a Gary Numan (Tubeway Army) song called "Down in the Park."
